Delivering Government Projects

The way in which construction projects are conceived, designed, delivered and managed is changing more quickly than at any other time in the last two centuries. New disruptive technologies and construction techniques are allowing us to deliver high performance assets quicker, cheaper and more safely. Owners and operators now have access to more data than ever about the performance of their built assets. They can drive down the whole life cost of ownership by making more informed decisions through the procurement and design phases of a construction project.

The UK Central Government has identified BIM as a catalyst for modernising the UK construction industry and delivering better outcomes for the Government as a client. This has meant that Government departments, local authorities and the associated supply chain need to transform their processes to incorporate a BIM methodology. Our BIM services such as the BSI affiliated path to UK BIM Level 2 certification programme leads our customers through the complexity of this new way of working.

  • Our Services
  • Managing Geospatial Information

The next generation of information management systems take advantage of the power of the cloud to connect and share the vast amount of data available to us today. DynamicMaps, our suite of Government information management solutions, takes advantage of the flexibility of WebGIS to deliver data anywhere and on any device. We have modules for street namingincident reportingLLPG and LSG address management.

Our solutions have been developed to be flexible and compatible with existing systems and can work within your intranet, on the internet or both. At the core of DynamicMaps is an easy to use web browser interface that allows organisations to run live queries from multiple data sources and present the results in a user friendly, visual format. Importantly, those data sources can be in different locations and different formats, whilst the end user gets a responsive, interactive experience.

Within the Dynamics suite we have included tools to make the life of the GIS manager easier. They include our GML Translator for populating spatial databases and our services to support your transition to OpenSource GIS.

In partnership with Bramble Hub, Government organisations have access to Cadline’s DynamicMaps GIS software and services without the lengthy and costly tender process. As a Crown Commercial Service supplier, our products and services can be purchased directly from Bramble Hub under all framework agreements, including G-Cloud 9, RM1557ix and Local Authority Software Applications, RM1059. • New Projects

The industry wide success of model centric workflows is reliant on project stakeholders’ ability to easily share and consume project information externally. An important aspect of a BIM adoption programme is concerned with implementing technology such as BIM 360 within an organisation or project team. Equally important is the ability to use existing information such as GIS and survey data to develop a representation of existing conditions. Fortunately, the experience we have developed connecting companies on hundreds of successful projects proves to be invaluable as we support our customers through these early projects.

  • Out-source

It isn’t always achievable to develop all the new skills to support the additional services that you want to introduce into your organisation in the first phase of the technology implementation. For example, laser scanning and drone photogrammetry are drastically reducing the time needed to accurately model the existing site or building conditions. These reality capture techniques can remove significant cost from a project when compared to traditional surveying or information gathering processes. Our Engineering Projects team offer a set of services that have been developed to fill the gaps in your capability in these specialist but highly relevant technologies. These services include developing detailed digital component catalogues, complex modelling activities and producing highly realistic visual aids.

What our customers are saying

“Lewisham Council is making a valuable 25% saving in time and costs”

“Lewisham Council is making a valuable 25% saving in time and costs since implementing Cadline’s comprehensive and flexible web application to manage the borough’s address data. We found that Cadline provided the most appropriate database software for our needs; their solution is so much more flexible. Larger companies tend to take several months to make tweaks on this type of software, but Cadline are very fast to respond. If any new government initiatives are launched concerning address and geographical data, then Lewisham Council would definitely consult with Cadline to ensure we were in line with official requirements or guidelines.”

– Gary Simms, GIS Manager, London Borough of Lewisham

“It really has made geographic information available to everyone”

“MapThat maps use beautifully clear graphics and are straightforward to navigate by panning up, down, left and right, clicking and dragging, and zooming in and out. Both street maps and aerial views are available to help users easily recognise specific localities. Our relationship with Cadline is very good. This is a very beneficial partnership. It really has made geographic information available to everyone.”
